These terms govern booking and staying at Motel Hôrky. By sending the booking form or booking by phone, the guest accepts them. The Slovak version is the legally binding one.

2. Booking

You can book through the form on this site, by e-mail or by phone. Sending the form is not a confirmed booking — it is an enquiry about availability.

A booking becomes binding only once we confirm it in writing or by phone, usually the same day. If you hear nothing from us within two working days, please call — the message may have gone astray.

Nothing is paid in advance. We ask for no deposit and no card details.

3. Prices and payment

Prices are per room per night and include two people. See the price list.

The rate is set by the date of arrival.
For stays over three nights, or three rooms and more, we can agree an individual rate.
Meals and surcharges (pet, cot, extra bed) are charged per the price list.

Payment is made on site, in cash or by card. A receipt is issued automatically.

A local accommodation tax set by the municipality of Vavrišovo is added per person per night and passed on to the municipality.

4. Arrival and departure

Check-in: 14:00 – 20:00
Check-out: by 10:00

Keys are collected at the restaurant bar. If you will arrive after 20:00, call us in advance and we will arrange it.

On arrival guests must show an identity document — Slovak law requires us to keep a guest register.

5. Cancellation

You may cancel free of charge up to 24 hours before the day of arrival, by phone or e-mail.

For later cancellations or a no-show we may charge the first night. In genuine cases — illness, an accident, mountain weather — we normally waive it. Just talk to us.

If we were unable to accommodate you for serious operational reasons, we would tell you immediately and refund anything already paid in full.

6. Pets

Pets are welcome by prior arrangement; the fee is in the price list. Animals may not be left alone in the room or allowed on the beds. The owner is liable for any damage.

7. House rules

No smoking anywhere in the building, including rooms, balconies and terraces.
Quiet hours are 22:00 – 6:00.
Guests are liable for damage they cause.
Parking is beside the building, camera-monitored. Motorbikes can be locked in a separate garage.
We are not liable for items left in vehicles or in openly accessible places.

8. Liability

Please do not leave valuables unattended in your room. Beyond the extent set by the Slovak Civil Code, we are not liable for money, jewellery or electronics left in rooms.

9. Complaints and dispute resolution

If something is wrong, please tell us during your stay — we can usually fix it on the spot. You may also complain in writing to ubytovanie@motelhorky.sk; we respond within 30 days.

If you are not satisfied with the outcome, you may contact the alternative dispute resolution body — the Slovak Trade Inspection, Bajkalská 21/A, 827 99 Bratislava (soi.sk) — or use the European Commission’s ODR platform.

10. Final provisions

Matters not covered here are governed by the law of the Slovak Republic, in particular the Civil Code and the Consumer Protection Act.

Effective from 1 September 2026.
