We process your personal data only as far as is necessary to handle a booking and provide accommodation. We do not sell it, do not pass it to advertising networks and do not profile you. The Slovak version is the legally binding one.

2. What we process and why

Booking form or e-mail

Name, e-mail, phone number, dates of stay, room type, number of guests and whatever you write in the note field.

Purpose: handling the booking and communicating about it
Legal basis: performance of a contract / pre-contractual steps (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR)
Retention: 12 months after the stay ends, then deleted
A note on your IP address: we store the IP the message was sent from alongside it. It is used only to defend the form against abuse, and it is deleted with the record.

Weekly menu by e-mail

If you ask us to send you the weekly menu, we keep your e-mail address, the language you chose and the date you signed up. You confirm the address by clicking a link we send you; without that confirmation we send nothing.

Purpose: sending you the week’s menu
Legal basis: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR)
Retention: until you unsubscribe. Every message carries a one-click unsubscribe link. Addresses that are never confirmed are deleted after seven days.

Guest register

On arrival we record what the law requires — name, permanent address, identity document number and the period of stay.

Legal basis: compliance with a legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR)
Retention: as set by the relevant legislation

Accounting records

Invoice and receipt data is kept for 10 years, as required by the Slovak Accounting Act.

3. Who else sees it

We do not give your data to third parties for their own purposes. Only our processors, who run the infrastructure for us, can access it:

web hosting and e-mail — Roman Bartík S.O.S. pre počítače, www.sosprepc.sk, servers located in the European Union
Cloudflare, Inc. — all traffic to this site passes through their network (attack protection and faster loading), and they provide the Turnstile check on our forms. This involves processing your IP address. The company is certified under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.
accountant — limited to accounting documents

We do not transfer data outside the European Economic Area.

4. Cookies and analytics

This site stores no cookies in your browser — neither its own nor anyone else’s. We verified that across every page. There is no localStorage or similar either, the fonts are served from our own server, and the Google rating is fetched server-side, so your browser never talks to Google.

The Contact page embeds a map from OpenStreetMap. It loads with the page, so your IP address reaches them; it sets no cookies. OpenStreetMap is a non-profit foundation and does not use the data for advertising.

This site uses no advertising or tracking cookies. There is no Google Analytics, no Facebook Pixel and nothing comparable — which is why there is no cookie consent banner bothering you.

We store only what is technically necessary (for example a form security token). The web server records IP address and browser type in operational logs, used to prevent abuse and kept only briefly.

5. Your rights

You have the right to access your data, to have it corrected, to have it erased where it is no longer needed and no legal duty prevents it, to restrict processing, to data portability, and to object to processing.

If you believe we are handling your data badly, you may complain to the Office for Personal Data Protection of the Slovak Republic, Hraničná 12, 820 07 Bratislava (dataprotection.gov.sk).

6. Security

The site runs exclusively over encrypted HTTPS. Access to bookings is limited to a small number of our staff. Servers are located in the EU and backed up regularly.

Effective from 1 September 2026.
